In so far as other classroom applications...indeed this device could help students with moderate degrees of sight challeges. I had a student who was had this particular challenge and everywhere he went he carried a round standardized magnifying class. This was kinda of bulker and it was somewhat embarrassing to him..this device due to its' size and design is more discreet and better to be stored during travel....

I believe that it can be used when a child is looking for words in a dictionary. The words printed are so small that this device could magnify the words.

The magnifier can be attached to the phone or can be carried around to be used anywhere. actually, there is a website for it and it cost around 20.00usd but comes with an ear phone. i think that it is only available online. also, some AT online stores sell this alone for $8.99 only.
